Yes — the core app is free. Down the road we may offer optional premium features (advanced filters, trend predictions), but seeing the map and checking in will always be free.
We're building it now and will launch a Nashville-only beta as soon as it's ready. Early access list members get in first, before public launch — join the list and we'll keep you posted.
Heyday never displays individual location pins. When you arrive at a venue, you opt in to be counted. The app only stores that you're "at venue X" — never your GPS coordinates. When you leave, you're automatically removed. We require a minimum of 5 people at a venue before showing detailed stats, so no one can be individually identified.
No. You can browse the map and see venue activity without sharing anything. Location sharing only activates when you choose to check in at a venue — and even then, only "you're at venue X," not your exact coordinates.
No. There's no matching, no profiles, no DMs. Heyday just shows you which venues have the kind of crowd you're looking for. What happens when you get there is up to you.
